About Me.
I am Jake Anderson.
I am a video game designer with a focus in music production. I am working towards having a Major in Game and Interactive Media Design, and a Minor in Music Production. I currently live in Pennsylvania. I have played video games since I was little. I decided to pursue game development to give others a chance at experiencing the joy that I had. Creating something that others can enjoy doing is a very satisfying thing to do. I started playing the piano when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I primarily played classical music, and over time I played music on the piano from various genres. Back in high school, I played in music recitals and I played at retirement homes. I had a knowledge of music through playing the piano, and throughout college I expanded on that knowledge by learning how to create music. I learned how to use the music creation software Ableton Live. In my senior year in college, I had to spend a year with a group to create a video game on our own. I began as the sound designer responsible for creating the audio for the game, and closer to the end I also became the project manager. For sound design, I focused on creating music since that was my strength. Our game, Don of the Dragon, is a bullet hell that revolves around the music. As for project management, I had to take over since we were initially unorganized and worked leisurely at our own pace. I met with our group and devised a realistic timeline for our group, and I adapted it as circumstances changed. EDUCATION
